This fuel filter is built for the 2004-2006 OM647 inline-5 and the 2007-2009 OM642 V6 NON-DEF diesel engines.

If the filter becomes restricted, the high-pressure pump and injectors work harder than they should — replacing the filter at proper intervals keeps fuel flow healthy and protects the entire system.
