The outer tie rod end is the final link between the steering system and the front wheel — and when it wears out, your Sprinter tells you fast. This is the Sidem OEM outer tie rod end for the NCV3 Sprinter, built to OEM specifications — fits left or right side, sold individually, two required per vehicle.

What This Part Does

The outer tie rod end connects the inner tie rod to the steering knuckle at the wheel hub, translating side-to-side steering rack movement into wheel direction changes. It's a ball joint assembly that allows for vertical suspension travel while maintaining steering control. When the ball joint wears, it develops play — which shows up as vague steering feel, wandering at highway speed, and toe alignment changes that accelerate tire wear.
