What This Part Does

The front stabilizer bar bushings are rubber-lined clamp bushings that secure the front sway bar to the chassis at two mounting points behind the front crossmember. They allow the bar to rotate freely within their bore as the suspension cycles, while cushioning the bar against the chassis to prevent metal-to-metal contact and isolate the bar's torsional resistance force from the chassis structure. The bushing's rubber compound absorbs the small rotational motion of the sway bar under normal cornering and prevents the bar from rattling or clunking in its mounts.
