Mercedes Sprinter Intake Manifold Gasket – Elring OEM | OM642 3.0L V6 | #6421410580
DESCRIPTION:
Any time an intake manifold comes off the OM642 3.0L V6, this gasket must be replaced — no exceptions. It's a one-time-use seal, and reusing it risks an intake air leak that defeats the entire purpose of the job. This OEM Elring intake manifold gasket fits both the left and right sides of the OM642, sealing the manifold-to-head interface and ensuring a leak-free charge air path into the combustion chambers.
What This Part Does
The intake manifold gasket seals the mating surface between the intake manifold and the cylinder head, preventing air from escaping before it reaches the combustion chamber. On the OM642 V6, the left and right bank manifolds each require their own gasket — meaning a full engine service requires two. Even a minor air leak at this interface throws off the air-fuel ratio, triggers fault codes, and causes rough idle or reduced power.
One-Time Use — Do Not Reuse
This is a crush gasket designed for single use. Once compressed at torque spec, it conforms to the mating surface and cannot seal effectively if reinstalled. Always replace with a new gasket any time the intake manifold is removed, regardless of the reason for the service.
When You'll Need This
- Intake manifold removal or replacement
- Swirl flap motor service or repair
- Intake manifold cleaning
- Any service requiring manifold removal from either bank
Note: Two gaskets are required per engine — one for the left bank and one for the right. This listing is for a single gasket. Order two for a complete engine service.
