What This Part Does

The rear brake pad kit includes four friction pads — two per caliper, covering both rear calipers — for a complete rear axle replacement. The friction compound is bonded to a steel backing plate and provides the surface that the rear caliper clamps against the rotor to slow the vehicle. Textar is a long-standing OEM brake supplier to Mercedes-Benz and other European manufacturers, and their pads are produced to the same material specifications and dimensional tolerances as the original equipment.
