A sticking or seized rear brake caliper on a Sprinter causes constant drag on the rear axle, uneven pad wear, and premature rotor damage — and because rear brake issues develop more slowly than front, they're often missed until the damage is already done. This is the rear right (passenger side) brake caliper with mounting bracket for the NCV3 Sprinter 2500 — a direct-fit replacement that restores full, even braking force to the passenger side rear corner.

What This Part Does

The rear brake caliper clamps the brake pads against the rear rotor to provide rear axle braking force. Unlike the dual-piston front calipers, the NCV3 Sprinter 2500 uses a single-piston rear caliper — simpler in design but equally prone to piston and slide pin seizure from corrosion on high-mileage, high-duty-cycle vans. When the caliper seizes, it drags continuously, generating heat that damages the rotor and accelerates pad wear on one side. Includes the mounting bracket.
