What This Part Does

The DEF injection nozzle receives pressurized AdBlue fluid from the delivery pump and injects a precisely metered spray of urea solution into the exhaust stream upstream of the SCR catalyst. The catalyst uses this urea to convert harmful NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. The nozzle operates in a high-temperature exhaust environment, making it susceptible to urea crystallization, heat damage, and tip fouling over time — especially on vans with infrequent or incomplete regeneration cycles.
