Mercedes Sprinter Lug Bolt – Febi OEM Alloy Wheel | M14x1.5 | #9069900007 (NCV3 2500)
DESCRIPTION:
Using the wrong lug bolt length on a Sprinter is a safety issue, not just a fitment inconvenience. The Sprinter uses different bolt lengths depending on whether steel or alloy wheels are installed — and this is the longer bolt specifically designed for OEM alloy wheels on NCV3 Sprinter 2500 models. If you're mounting factory alloy wheels, this is the correct bolt.
What This Part Does
The lug bolt threads directly into the wheel hub and secures the wheel against the hub face. Because alloy wheels have a deeper seat than steel wheels, they require a longer bolt to achieve the correct thread engagement depth. Using the shorter steel wheel bolt (0009902407) on alloy wheels results in insufficient thread engagement — a serious safety risk that can lead to wheel detachment under load.
Alloy vs. Steel Wheel Bolt — Key Difference
This bolt (9069900007) measures 14.5 x 74mm and is for OEM alloy wheels. The steel wheel bolt (0009902407) measures 14.5 x 58mm. They are not interchangeable. Always confirm your wheel type before ordering.
