A cracked, swollen, or internally restricted rear brake hose is one of the most overlooked causes of brake pull, spongy pedal feel, and uneven rear braking on a high-mileage Sprinter. Unlike hard brake lines, flexible hoses degrade from the inside out — the inner lining can collapse or blister under pressure, restricting fluid flow to the caliper or trapping pressure and causing the brake to stick. This CEF replacement rear flexible brake hose restores unrestricted hydraulic flow to the rear brake circuit and eliminates the risk of hidden hose failure.

What This Part Does

The flexible brake hose connects the rigid hard brake line mounted to the chassis to the brake caliper at the rear axle, allowing for the relative movement between the fixed chassis and the moving suspension. It must flex thousands of times over its service life while withstanding high hydraulic pressure, heat cycling, and exposure to road chemicals.
