Mercedes Sprinter EGR Valve Gasket – Elring OEM | OM642 3.0L V6 | #6421422380 (2010–2022)

DESCRIPTION:

Any time the EGR valve comes off the OM642 Sprinter, this gasket must be replaced. It's a one-time-use seal — and reusing the old gasket risks an exhaust leak at the EGR valve mating surface that can trigger fault codes, throw off fuel trim, and cause rough running. This Elring OEM EGR valve gasket is the correct replacement for 2010–2022 BlueTec Sprinters with the 3.0L OM642 V6, and it's the same gasket included with the complete EGR valve assembly (6421401460).

What This Part Does

The EGR valve gasket seals the mating surface between the EGR valve and the intake or exhaust port, preventing exhaust gas from leaking past the valve body. A failed or reused gasket allows exhaust gases to escape at the joint — causing exhaust odor in the engine bay, fault codes, and in some cases, rough idle from unmetered air entering the intake circuit.

When You'll Need This

• EGR valve replacement (2010+ NCV3, part #6421401460)
• EGR valve removal for cleaning or inspection
• Any service requiring the EGR valve to be unbolted from the engine

Note: Always replace with a new gasket — never reuse the original. This gasket is also sold as part of complete EGR valve assemblies but is available separately here for cleaning or inspection jobs where the valve itself is being retained.
